The Breast Center at RS Pantai Indah Kapuk serves patients with breast complaints, supported by female doctors including Oncologic Surgeon Specialists, Radiology Specialists, and Pathology Specialists. Equipped with advanced equipment such as MRI Breast and ABVS (Automated Breast Volume Scanner) ultrasound, it strives to provide integrated services in a relatively short time. In addition to female specialist doctors and supportive equipment, the Breast Center at RS Pantai Indah Kapuk also provides services at a special clinic that aims to provide healthy and beautiful breasts for every woman. To date, breast cancer remains a daunting enemy for women. There are many questions that often arise when a woman starts to worry about her breast health. For example:

• Is my breast healthy?
• How do I recognize any abnormalities in my breast?
• Is every abnormality in the breast is cancer?
• Does every abnormality in the breast have to be operated?
• Can every woman experience it?
• Can breast cancer be cured?

If you want to know how to recognize abnormalities in the breast, you can do a Self-Breast Exam (SADARI). Do it as soon as possible. The most appropriate time is on the 2nd or 3rd day after a clean menstrual period, once a month. Not all abnormalities in the breast are cancer and not all abnormalities in the breast have to be operated on. The chance of recovery is higher if the abnormality in the breast is found in an early stage and is followed up with proper treatment and handled by a specialist. 

There are several risk factors for women to get breast cancer. These risk factors include:

• Having your first menstruation at less than 10 years old
• Menopause after the age of 50
• Never been pregnant or given birth
• Having your first child after the age of 35
• Never breastfeeding a child
• Having a history of benign or malignant breast tumor operations in the breast
• Having a family history of cancer
