World Kidney Day 2024 celebration
Kidney disease experiences an increasing trend every year, not only experienced by older people but also young people. The increase in kidney disease problems is triggered by various factors such as unhealthy eating patterns, a history of diabetes and hypertension and overweight/obesity. Every year in March World Kidney Day is celebrated so that people remain vigilant in maintaining kidney health. This year's World Kidney Day celebration will be held on March 14 2024 with the slogan "love your kidneys". RSPIK participated in holding activities in the form of a healthy dialogue with the topic "The Role of Nutrition and Anemia Management in Chronic Kidney Disease Patients which was presented in detail and straightforwardly by a Hypertension Kidney Consultant specialist, namely Dr. Tjie Hendra, Sp. PD. Subsp. GH & dr. Tities Anggraeni Indra, Sp. PD. Subsp.GH guided by Prof. Dr. Wiguno Prodjosudjadi, PhD, Sp. PD.Subsp.GH as Moderator and dr. Samuel Herijanto as MC. This event was attended by more than 140 participants from various levels of society, patient families and patients who have experienced chronic kidney failure. On this occasion, RSPIK also held special visits to patients who were undergoing dialysis or hemodialysis. We hope that through this visit, patients who are undergoing dialysis or hemodialysis will remain enthusiastic.
