Kids Hospital Tour- Saint Nicholas Preschool PIK

Hospitals today have experienced many developments and changes, especially in terms of exterior and interior appearances that are more attractive and less intimidating. However, a small number of children are still afraid of going to the hospital to see a doctor or nurse.
To further introduce hospitals to children in a different atmosphere, RSPIK together with Saint Nicholas School PIK School Management held a hospital tour activity for children on August 5 2024. In this activity children were introduced to the profession of doctors and nurses, equipment tools used to carry out inspections. Children are allowed to try the tools so they know the use of each tool. Apart from that, children are also taught how to wash their hands correctly and when is the right time to wash their hands. Children also have the opportunity to be invited to see X-ray equipment, eye and dental examination tools. The children were also invited to tour the ambulance so that they would know the use of an ambulance and why hospital ambulances are prioritized on public roads.
The children were very enthusiastic and happy to be able to go around the hospital without feeling afraid.
