Robotic Prostate Biopsy
High accuracy Prostate Cancer Screening
Prostate cancer is a malignancy that attacks the prostate gland where prostate cells grow abnormally and uncontrollably, thereby pressing on and damaging the surrounding tissue.
Symptoms arise when the prostate begins to swell, difficulty urinating, weak or incomplete urination and even bloody urine.
To find out if someone has prostate cancer, a biopsy needs to be done. Currently, Pantai Indah Kapuk Hospital has carried out a biopsy using robotic assistance, namely Robotic Prostate Biopsy, namely a biopsy technique using robotic assistance where the tissue sample collection is guided directly through MRI image fragments. Pieces of images that are suspected of being cancer will be contemplated into the robot platform and automatically determine the biopsy location points that are suspected of being a cancerous lesion with precision so that the biopsy is more targeted.
This Robotic Prostate Biopsy technique has a very high level of accuracy with smaller wounds and minimal risks such as bleeding and infection.
